Ashley On The Boulevard4 viewsAshley Cooper-Legree has now replaced Bunny Hopkins as a great statesman in the Rare Rabbit Assembly and is often seen on the boulevards of Charleston in his elegant attire. Even the most well-regarded gentlemen of Charleston tip their hats to Ashley, and he tips his hat to them (and always to the ladies, of course).

The Wedding4 viewsLong Eared Zingle and Willa Wabbit are married today in the Gazebo of the Great House. It is Long Eared Zingle's first time in clothes (and his last). This marriage bonds the Cooper Legrees and Barkin Bugger-Legrees together from now on. They will never be exactly alike, but they now value each other's differences. As for the Bad Bitin Bustin-Legrees, they are - well - at a safe distance.

The Horror of House Guests9 viewsThe Barkin Bugger-Legrees soon leave no room left to move about in the burrow. They make a wreck of Ashley's family home and cause arguments between Ashley's parents. They have eaten up their food, do no work, and fill the place with the smoke of their rabbit tobacco. They must go!

Great Expectations3 viewsAshley Cooper-Legree stands on the threshold of the Great House, daring greatness. At least he is exceedingly well-dressed for the occasion and has remembered to remove his hat. He is a rabbit of reason for all seasons.

Legree Coat Of Arms6 viewsAn artistic Cooper- Legree (Harelinger Halstead) designs a Coat of Arms for the clan suitable to their grand new station in life and reflecting the honorable Legree Legend.

Harvest 8 viewsThe Legrees harvest the vegetables they have grown and bring them to the cellar by moonlight so they will not be seen.

Politics2 viewsThe Rare Rabbit Assembly governs the Legrees. It is called "rare" because it assembles only rarely. Bunny Hopkins is chairman. Today Ashley attends for the first time and immediately enters heated debate with Bunny Hopkins over a solution to their distressing relations with the people of the Great House. Ashley misbehaves and is escorted from the burrow by Bailiff Bunny (seen standing over Ashley). Only Long-Eared Zingle and the other Barkin Bugger-Legrees applaud Ashley's side.

Moonlight Rescue5 viewsLong Eared Zingle (Barkin Bugger-Legree) and Lupercon Lotsom (Cooper-Legree) heroically join forces. At last they get the cage containing Ashley and Willa Wabbit out an upstairs window of the Great House and swing it onto a tree limb by rope. Now they let it down to the Legrees below. Long-Eared Zingle's rugged sense of adventure and Lupercon Lotsom's methodical, detailed character come together in a perfect mix.

War Weary5 viewsLegrees wounded by the people in the Great House are cared for by their fellow rabbits. All survive. Long-Eared Zingle calls for a corageous return to rescue Ashley and Willa Wabbit. Long a lazy, irresponsible slob, Zingle has become a patriot and hero.

Back Fence8 viewsFinally Ashley's dad (Pekin Paw) leads Long-Eared Zingle and the Barkin Bugger-Legrees to the Back Fence District (garbage dump of Charleston) as their new home. It is exactly their sort of place as they can be as lazy and filthy there as they wish without criticism. Now they will eat from the garbage cans when they cannot find sufficient food growing wild in the field behind it and can smoke the rabbit tobacco that grows in it as well.
